Isn’t photography the only way to defy
impermanence and brazenly cheat time?
I take pictures to save and remember a little more.
It’s my own dialogue with saudade. That fragile presence of a moment already gone, the one I carry beneath my eyelids. I love returning to those stilled seconds, reading old emotions anew, replaying
at full force the feelings that once took hold of me.
My name is Viktoria, and I live in Katowice, Poland.
I can’t sit still. Something is always pulling me somewhere, somewhere I can wander past the edges of my own comfort.
Searching for forms and spaces that let me feel, sense, simply
be, without compromise. Nature is a kind of catalyst;
it unleashes my deepest states. All the emotional charge
of a given moment, I place into photographs. the frames become a harbor for the senses. In them I seal the pure resonance
of those moments, so I can call it back at any time – even when
I’m already somewhere else entirely, in another time.
